Lady Bobcats Defeated Tennessee Wesleyan, 19-8, in Final Game

BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College Bobcats defeated Tennessee Wesleyan 19-8 in an exhibition game at Tate Field on Monday afternoon.

The Lady Bobcats earned the 19-8 win to end their season.

Lees-McRae opened up a 4-1 lead six minutes into the game. At the 7:33 mark, they had an 8-4 lead and took a 10-5 lead into the half.

After the half, the Lady Bobcats opened up three straight goals to extend the lead to 13-5. They ended the game with a 19-8 to earn the win.

Five Lady Bobcats scored three goals: Emily Guenthner, Abby White, Ellie Psillas, Lauren Martin and Lexi King. Lauren McLenlland scored her first career goals, as well. Psillas also had three assists and four ground balls. Guenthner led the team with five ground balls, and Kari Borton had a team-high three draw controls.
