Three Women's Lacrosse Players Notch Goals in Loss at Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, N.C. --- Senior Jenah Tracy notched a pair of goals, but the Lees-McRae women's lacrosse team fell in its Conference Carolinas opener, 14-4, to Pfeiffer at N.E. Lefko Field Friday afternoon in Misenheimer, N.C.

The Falcons (1-2, 1-1 CC) used a five-goal performance from Cheyenne Green. The Bobcats (0-2, 0-1) saw senior Mia Emmerson (Orlando, Fla.) make 12 saves.

Green scored twice while PU jumped out to a 3-0 lead after 9:02 of play.

Coach Lexi King's squad responded with goals from sophomore Peyton LeCompte (Carolina Beach, N.C.) and Callie Gregg (Roanoke, Va.). Senior Taylor Drake (Jupiter, Fla.) and Tracy (Naples, Fla.) earned assists, respectively.

The Falcons saw four different players score while pushing the lead to 7-2.

Tracy tallied a goal with 3:20 remaining in the first half. The senior notched her second one with 4:11 left in regulation.

Junior Chartella Taylor (Winston-Salem, N.C.) led the team with five groundballs while Joelle-Sara Prata (New Bedford, Mass.) amassed three.

Sophomore Tiffany Laster (Jupiter, Fla.) earned three draw controls.

Both teams went 8-for-9 in clear attempts in the first half.

LMC travels to Montreat College Wednesday, March 2 at 4 p.m. in Montreat, N.C.
