BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team will close out its 2017 regular season this week with a pair of games. LMC will begin the week with a non-conference tilt against Brevard College Wednesday at Tate Field. Following their matchup with the Tornados, the Bobcats will head to Spartanburg, S.C. Saturday for a conference matchup against Converse. These games are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

Last Time Out – The Bobcats fell on the road to Lincoln Memorial last Wednesday by a score of 15-6. The loss moved LMC's record to 3-9 on the season.

Home Sweet Home – LMC will close out its home schedule Wednesday afternoon against Brevard. The Bobcats have fared well on their home field this season posting a record of 3-3. If Lees-McRae can upend the Tornados, it will mark the fourth straight season that the Bobcats have had a winning percentage of .500 or better at home.

For FreeSara Henderson has been one of the most productive players for LMC this season, including her work in free-position shots. Henderson is currently third in Conference Carolinas with 50-percent conversion rate when she is awarded a free-position attempt.

Non-Conference Note – Wednesday will be the final non-conference game for the Bobcats this season. LMC, which has posted a 1-2 mark against non-conference foes so far in 2017, has been led by Peyton LeCompte in those three contests with nine goals.

Series Rewind – Lees-McRae has won the previous two matchups against Brevard with the last meeting occurring in 2015. In the series against Converse, LMC is 5-4 against the Valkyries. In fact, the Bobcats have won two straight over Converse including a 10-9 win last season in Banner Elk.
