Women’s Lacrosse picked to finish fifth in Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches’ Poll

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team has been selected to finish fifth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches' Poll the league office announced Monday. Peyton LeCompte, Sara Henderson and Tiffany Laster were selected as players to watch for Lees-McRae this spring.

The Bobcats are coming off back-to-back five win seasons. LMC went 5-10 overall and 3-7 in conference bouts in 2017. Lees-McRae will have a veteran-laden squad in 2018 with LeCompte, Henderson and Laster leading the way. LMC also returns both of its goalkeepers from last season (Dayna Decesare and Samantha Thomson) along with six other returnees.

LMC will begin the 2018 campaign February 3rd when they take on Tusculum in a non-conference tilt. The start time for that contest is set for noon from Greeneville, Tenn.
