GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-5 decision on the road at Tusculum College Saturday afternoon to open its 2018 season.

LMC had four players register points in the team's inaugural performance this spring. Senior Tiffany Laster paced this group registering a pair of goals. Constance Madden, Sara Henderson and Sydney Starkey added the other three goals for Lees-McRae. For Starkey, it marked her first collegiate goal. In addition to her goal-scoring, Laster also paced the Bobcats in shots (3), ground balls (5) and caused turnovers (3) against the Pioneers.

Sophomore Dayna Decesare made her second straight opening day start in goal for LMC Saturday. Decesare played every minute of contest and made five saves.

Lees-McRae will return to action on February 15 when it opens Conference Carolinas play at Southern Wesleyan. That contest is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start time.
