BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team will look for its second straight road win Friday when it visits Lee University. The first draw control between the Bobcats and Lady Flames is set for 4 p.m.
Last Time Out – Lees-McRae picked up its first win of the season last Thursday at Southern Wesleyan by a score of 12-3. LMC, who was led by Beth Haynes in the victory with three goals, improves to 1-1 on the season.
Balanced Scoring for the Bobcats – A strength of the Bobcat attack so far this season has been its balanced offense. Overall, Lees-McRae has eight different players that have notched at least one point so far and five of those have tallied multiple points.
Winning Back-to-Back – When the Bobcats take the field on Friday, they will be looking to win back-to-back games for the first time this season. The last time LMC won two in a row as last season when it knocked off Brevard and Converse.
About the Opponent – Lee is in the midst of its second season in program history in 2018. After going winless last spring, the Lady Flames have won two of their three games so far this season. Lee, which has defeated Point and Erskine, is led by the duo of Becca Broadwick and Mason Cobb who both have nine points.
Series History vs. Lee - The Bobcats and Lady Flames matched up last season in Boone, N.C. Lees-McRae won that contest by a score of 18-9. Peyton LeCompte led the Bobcats in that victory scoring six of the team's 18 goals.
