Women's Soccer Signs Eleven Student Athletes

Lees-McRae College Head Women's Soccer Coach Renee Lopez is proud to announce the signing of eleven student-athletes to the Lady Bobcats soccer program. "We are very excited about this class of student-athletes as we look to compete in Conference Carolinas," stated Head Coach Renee Lopez. "Our new players come to us from some of the top clubs and high schools throughout the country. We look forward to their contributions in our pursuit of a conference title in the upcoming years."

Brittany Bolton is the daughter of Thomas and Suzanne Bolton. Brittany graduated from Salem High School in Roanoke, Virginia. At Salem, Brittany was a member of the Junior Honor Association, National Honor Society, Latin Honor Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and SCAT Club. Bolton also received three varsity letters in soccer and received All-District, All-Region, and All-State awards while playing for Salem High School. Brittany plays club soccer for the Roanoke Stars. Bolton was an Olympic Development player for her District, State Pool, and Region 1 Camp. Brittany's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Biology.

Brittany Elliott is the daughter of Bruce and Meri Elliott. Brittany graduated from Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona. At Centennial, Brittany received four varsity letters and was named All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State Awards in soccer. Brittany plays club soccer for the Sereno Soccer Club. This club team was the Arizona State Champions in 2003 and US Club Region F Champions in 2005. While playing for Sereno, Elliott was an Olympic Development Player for the Arizona player pool and Region IV Camp. Brittany's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Athletic Training.

Aleeshia Fischer is the daughter of Debra Venti and Chris Fischer. Aleeshia graduated from Hibriten High School in Lenoir, North Carolina. Aleeshia received three varsity letters in soccer and was named team captain her Junior and Senior year. Fisher also received All-County and All-Conference awards during her time at Hibriten. Aleeshia played club soccer for CVYSA. Aleeshia's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Psychology.

Kaylie Henne is the daughter of Richard and Suzanne Henne. Kaylie will be joining her older sister Kristi, who is a cyclist, at Lees-McRae College. Kaylie graduated from Russellville High School in Arkansas. At Russellville, Henne earned three varsity letters in soccer and was a member of the All-State Soccer Team and the All-State Tournament Team. Kaylie played club soccer for Ingram FC. Kaylie's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Health Science/Pre-Med.

Sophia House is the daughter of Harper and Annie House. Sophia graduated from Broughton High School in North Carolina. Sophia is actively involved with the color guard for the school band. House also plays the violin and participates in her youth group at church. Sophia played club soccer for the Capital Area Soccer League. Sophia's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Business.

Marissa Middleton is the daughter of Parents Nick and Jeril Middelton. Marissa will be graduating from Olathe East High School in Kansas where she was a three-time Regional champion and also a State Champion. In addition to soccer, Marissa also played basketball and was a member of the Business Club. Marissa played club soccer for KC Legends, who were State Semifinalist in 2006. Marissa's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Education.

Martha Peacock is the daughter of Mark and Sheila Peacock. Martha graduated from Mooresville High School in North Carolina. At Mooresville, Martha was a member of the Beta Club Society and Spanish Club. Peacock was listed on the Honor Roll and received the Academic Excellence Award from 2003-2007. In 2005, Peacock received the Principals Outstanding Character Award. Martha received four varsity letters in Soccer, Swimming, Cross Country, and Marching Band. Martha played for the Lake Norman Soccer Club. In 2004, Lake Norman was the Western Division Champions and Blue Cross/Blue Shield Runner-ups in 2005. Martha's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Health Scienc/Pre-Med.

Tiffany Rodman is the daughter of Karen Rodman. Tiffany graduated from Santiago High School in California. At Santiago, Tiffany earned varsity letters in cross-country and soccer. Tiffany was named captain of the cross-country team and received the Braveheart Award and All-League Awards for soccer. Tiffany played club for Arsenal FC Red. Tiffany's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Education.

Caitlin Smith is the daughter of Dantzler and Melissa Smith. Caitlin graduated from Spartanburg Day High School. At Spartanburg Day, Caitlin was a member of the student government. Smith also received a varsity letter in soccer and was named team captain. Smith was also a member of the Tennis and Basketball teams. Caitlin played soccer for Upstate Soccer Alliance. Caitlin's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Criminal Justice.

Sadie Williams is the daughter of Steven and Lynda Williams. Sadie graduated from Ashbrook High School in North Carolina. At Ashbrook, Sadie was a member of the National Honor Society. Williams received four varsity letters in soccer and was named team captain both her Junior and Senior year. Williams has also received All-Conference, All-Region, Defensive MVP, and Big South 3-AA Conference Champion Awards. Sadie played club soccer for the Gaston United Soccer Club. Sadie's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Health Science.

Morgan Worch is the daughter of Steve and Mary Beth Worch. Morgan graduated from George Walton Comprehensive H.S in Georgia. Morgan was listed on the Principals Honor Roll from 2003-2005, played Varsity Soccer and was named a Scholar Athlete. Morgan is also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a volunteer camp counselor for Camp Hope. Morgan played club soccer for Concorde Fire out of Atlanta, Georgia. Morgan's intended major at Lees-McRae College is Elementary Education.
