MISENHEIMER, N.C. --- Junior Cheyenne Warrick tallied her first goal of the season, but the Lees-McRae women's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to Pfeiffer Saturday evening in a Conference Carolinas match in Misenheimer, N.C.
The Falcons (2-5-1, 1-2-1 CC) saw five different players score a goal while the team amassed 22 shots. The Bobcats (2-5, 1-2) saw freshman Alexis Feely (Wake Forest, N.C.) make seven saves.
Warrick (Pikeville, N.C.) gave LMC an early 1-0 lead at the 11:43 mark when she blasted a shot into the back of the night following a Lena Langille (Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia) pass.
PU's Andrea Garcia netted the equalizer with less than five minutes remaining in the opening half.
The Falcons recorded four unanswered goals in a 23-minute span to grab the win.
Warrick and Sarah Mahar (Jacksonville, Fla.) registered three shots each.
LMC welcomes Carson-Newman for a nonconference tilt on Wednesday, Sep. 30 at 5 p.m. at Tate Field.
