GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tusculum College Pioneers scored a goal in each half to down the Lees-McRae College women's soccer team Wednesday evening in a non-conference contest by a score of 2-0. Lees-McRae drops to 1-7-2 on the season after Wednesday's loss.
Tusculum ended up outshooting the Bobcats 24-7 on Wednesday, including a 15-1 margin in shots on goal. The Pioneers also held the edge in corner kicks in the match, 6-4.
Tegan Dean paced all Bobcat players with four shots against the Pioneers, which is a new career-high for the Oak Ridge, N.C. native. Riley Neese added two shots and Autumn Esposito accounted for the other shot for LMC.
Alexis Feely made 12 saves in 14 chances in goal for the Bobcats. Despite having her sixth 10-plus save outing of the season, Feely's record dips to 1-6-2 on the season with the defeat.
The Bobcats will return to Banner Elk Saturday for a Conference Carolinas clash against Belmont Abbey College. Kickoff for that contest is set for 5 p.m. from Tate Field.
