CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College swimming programs closed out the first day of the Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships Wednesday evening in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Standout swims – A total of six events were held Wednesday. A few standout swims for the Bobcats, included a pair of individual efforts and one in a relay race. The tandem of Reece Bradford and Will Hardin both posted personal-bests in the 1000 yard freestyle event. As for the relay effort, the quartet of Jennifer Paul, Kayla Fleming, Elli Seabrook and Kaci Thornton turned in a solid time of 1:52.96 in the 200 yard medley relay race.

Coach's take – "We had a few efforts that dropped considerable time, which turned into lifetime best swims," said Lees-McRae Head Coach Sean Weddell. "Our last relay was a bit off but it was good to have swims under our belt."

Next up – The conference meet will resume at 10 a.m. from the Queen City. A list of events can be found by clicking HERE.
