Lady Bobcats Cruise Past King

The Lees-McRae Lady Bobcats tennis team ended a two game losing skid, sweeping King College Wednesday afternoon. The win improves the Lady Bobcats record to 4-11.

The Lady Bobcats got off to a strong start with Kasey Mabe and Cameron Joyce defeating Morgan Smith and Callie Harrie in the first doubles match of the afternoon.

The Lady Bobcats continued to roll in doubles play, winning games two and three by scores of 8-3, and 8-0. Katie Hawkins, (pictured top left), had the toughest match of the day, requiring an extra set to earn the win over Jessica Stiles, 7-5, 6-1.

The Bobcats will resume Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference play Friday hosting Queen's University of Charlotte at 1:30pm.
