Winston-Salem, NC--Lees-McRae's women's track team participated in the Wake Forest Open track meet this past week with outstanding results.
Freshman Erin Tyler competed in her first heptathlon and responded with a 8th place finish scoring 3286 points in the 7 events. Ashley May continued her assault on the record books with another school record in the 1500m as she lowered her time in the event to 5:04. She also set a school record in the women's 800m as she ran 2:26. Demarea Colson had a personal best time of 2:35 in the women's 800 as well.
