Tyler Breaks Heptathlon School Record

BANNER ELK, N.C. - Erin Tyler competed in her second heptathlon in as many weeks at the Liberty College Invitational for the Lees-McRae College women's track team.

Tyler finished in sixth at the meet and set a new school record with 3,694 point. On the first day of meet she competed in the 100m hurdles and finished with a time of 17.05, the high jump with a height of 1.42m, the shot put with a distance of 9.56m and the 200m with a time of 28.05. On day two, she started with the long jump with a distance of 4.72m, the javelin with a distance of 28.30m and the 800m with a time of 2:45.41.

Hannah Henderson competed at the Duke Invitational for the Lady Bobcats in the 5,000m and finished 2nd in her class with a time of 19:30.70.
