BOONE, N.C. --- The Lees-McRae College women's track and field team turned in several impressive individual performances at Saturday's Appalachian Indoor Open Track Meet, which was hosted by Appalachian State University.
Freshman Kortnie Curry (Lexington, N.C.) turned in a notable performance in the high jump, finishing in a tie for third place with a school-record jump of 1.58 meters. Persephanie Mcrae (Brooklyn, N.Y.) also posted a solid showing in the high jump with a personal-best mark of 1.53 meters.
Lees-McRae returns to action on Saturday when the Bobcats travel to Boone, N.C. to take part in the Mountaineer Open, hosted by Appalachian State.
