WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --- Rachelle Cleveland (Moyock, N.C.) placed 16th in the javelin throw to pace the Lees-McRae College women's track and field team at the Wake Forest University Open on Saturday afternoon.
Cleveland turned in a strong performance in the javelin throw, placing 16th with a mark of 33.82 meters, as Kayla Frazier (Chesterfield, S.C.) finished 34th with a toss of 21.88 meters. Sarah Monday (Lexington, N.C.) posted the top mark for the Bobcats in the pole vault, placing 12th in the "B" section with a jump of 2.50 meters.
Frazier placed 37th in the discus throw with a mark of 31.80 meters, as Jessica McEnaney (Cary, N.C.) and Auburn Lowe (Swain County, N.C.) posted times of 27.89 and 29.06 seconds, respectively, in the 200-meter dash.
Lees-McRae returns to action on Friday, March 22 when the Bobcats travel to High Point, N.C. to participate in High Point University's Vert Klassie Meet.
