KINGSVILLE, Texas - Lees-McRae College freshman Britney Augustin competed in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships on Thursday (May 23) at Javelina Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She competed in the event as the first female national qualifier in the program's history.
Competing as one of only three freshmen in the 400-meter hurdles, she finished seventh in the third heat of the event and 17th in the nation in 1:02.69. She finished the highest out of the three freshmen competing in the event.
This concludes the 2018-19 women's track and field season. Congratulations Britney on a great freshman campaign!
