Banner Elk, NC--The Lees-McRae Lady Bobcats volleyball team dropped their second game of the Carolina Challenge Friday evening, falling in four games to Lenoir-Rhyne College. The Lady Bobcats fall to 5-6 on the year with the loss.
After dropping the opener30-25, the Lady Bobcats regrouped to take game two by a count of 30-22. Game three saw back and forth action throughout, with the visitors managing to put together a run late to take a 2-1 edge, winning 30-26. LRC carried the momentum into the fourth, cruising to a 30-18 win.
Freshman Kell Bogdan (Leawood, KS) finished with a single game career high 28 assists while also picking up a pair of service aces and tying for a team eight digs with senior libero Dani Usedom (Geneva, IL). Daviana Metti (Cordoba, Argentina) had a team high 11 kills for the Lady Bobcats while Whitney Kiser (Connelly Springs, NC) and Katie-Marie Legg (Alta Loma, CA) chipped in with eight and seven kills respectively.
The Lady Bobcats will resume play tomorrow morning at 11:00am
facing Mars Hill College.
