INDIANAPOLIS --- The Lees-McRae College women's
volleyball team is ranked among the nation's leaders in five
individual and team statistical categories, announced NCAA
officials Tuesday with the release of this week's NCAA Division II
women's soccer statistics.
Lees-McRae (17-7, 13-0 CC) has been on a tear of late, entering
the week having won 14 of its last 15, including a sweep of Lander
University on Saturday. The Lady Bobcats have posted six
consecutive undefeated weeks in conference play, entering the
stretch run with a 2.5-match lead in the league standings.
Senior middle blocker Whitney Justice (Connelly Springs, N.C.)
is ranked 28th in the nation in hitting percentage (.364), while
sophomore setter Megan Mitchell (Minden, Nev.) continues to be
listed in assists per match, entering the week ranked 46th at 9.96
helpers per contest.
The Lady Bobcats are ranked among the nation's leaders in three
categories, including winning percentage (53rd/0.708), assists per
set (63rd/11.58), and kills per frame (90th/12.19).
Lees-McRae returns to the court on Wednesday when the Lady
Bobcats host Belmont Abbey College to resume their conference
schedule. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
