Dillard Signs with Lees-McRae College

Banner Elk, NC - Chelsie Dillard, from Danbury, NC, has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with Lees-McRae College in the sports of women's cross country and track and field.

Dillard, a standout athlete at North Stokes High School, was the 2005 1A State Champion in 800m. She has been All-Conference for four years, All-Region for three and All-State for three.

"Chelsie has a lot of talent and we are looking forward to developing it even more," said Coach Craig McPhail. "She can be very special at our level and in our conference."

Chelsie is the daughter of Jimmy and Stacey Dillard.

Chelsie is going to major in Pre-Health at Lees-McRae.

Lees-McRae College is a four-year, coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences, located in the fame high country of Western North Carolina, near the base of Grandfather Mountain between the Beech and Sugar Ski Resorts.
