Cross Country Women Retain #1 in Region

Lees-McRae College's cross country teams still hold strong position in this week's NCAA DII Southeast Regional Rankings. The women hold down the No. 1 spot for the second week in a row, while the men are ranked 6th in the latest poll.

The Bobcats have been training the past two weeks after their season opener at USC-Upstate as they prepare for their annual trip to Charleston for The Citadel Invitational.

"Our practices have been great and we are really coming on strong, I am anxious to see what our hard work relates to in terms of our times at The Citadel," said Coach Craig McPhail. "We are healthy, strong and determined thus making the tasks at hand a little easier as we head into the latter part of our season."
