April's Story… My name is April Harris. I am from Jonesville,VA. I graduated in '06 in a class of about145 people. I grew up on a farm and am very country (at least that is what people tell me). I have run cross country since 7th grade and track since 6th grade. I made it to state all four years of high school in cross country and track & field. I ran AAU Cross Country and Track and went to the Junior Olympics in '04 and '05 for track. I ran the 3000 and the steeplechase. In '05 and '06 I ran the Cross Country Nationals. I was red-shirted last year which was hard, but I am back this year so watch out...haha just kidding!! I really had never heard of Lees-McRae until a guy from my high school came here to run and told me about it. I almost went somewhere else to run, but good thing I didn't because the team here is awesome! We all bring something new to the team.
