Lees-McRae College

The Official Site of the LEES-McRAE BOBCATS

Fred I. Dickerson Athletic Complex

The Lees-McRae College athletic department is privileged to utilize some of the nation's most beautiful and functional facilities. Housed within our athletic facilities are a state-of-the-art weight room, an indoor tennis facility, and abundant practice space for each of the College’s 28 varsity sport and club programs. The Williams Physical Education Center opened its doors in June of 1976 and was named for Mr. John H. Williams, who led the charge in the early 1970s for a new athletic complex and dining hall on the Lees-McRae campus.

The center includes Williams Gymnasium, Rhea-Lyons Pool Complex, media room, weight room, and a number of athletic offices. Williams was instrumental in bringing the athletic facility up to date, and raising the financial support to complete the facility. The Williams Center is also the home of the Fred I. Dickerson Athletics Hall of Fame. Check out the video tour below to explore all of our facilities located in Fred I. Dickerson Athletic Complex.

Esports Room

Located across campus in the Bowden Science Building is the newly renovated Lees-McRae Esports room. The room has been fully outfitted with six gaming computers to make sure our Bobcats can stay competitive in the digital arena.
